More Wyvern news

Here's the latest quote from Rhialto.

I have an obligation to get my computer game, Wyvern, back online: an obligation to some 50,000 players (out of 250,000 who've tried the game) that I dursn't easily turn my back on. Plus I have some pretty cool stuff in store there, for you Wyverneers who may be listening. Once I get this Google project reasonably secured, that is.

The context of the quote is basically that he's been busy between his job at Google and working on Wyvern to do much else. The second sentence means that he's still going to get the game up as soon as possible, but once he's done with his current project at Google he will start introducing some things that he thinks will amaze you. To be clear, since I know some of you people have a problem with basic English even though you've spoken it all your life, that does not mean that he cannot get the game up until he's done with his Google project. It simply means that he plans to make further advancements to the game (which can be done with the server online) after he's done with the other thing that is taking up a good deal of his time.

The hope to get the game up by the end of the year remains the same until you are told otherwise. This post is not meant to change that, simply to remind you all that he's hard at work and to give you a little teaser about Wyvern's future since updates have been poor in the past. If you still do not understand something, please ask instead of making assumptions and passing them off as fact. I know this time is difficult on some of you, but that is no excuse for irrational behavior. Be patient and it will all be worth it in the end.

Thats the latest, and I hope Rhialto can get it up before the end of the year!

Wyvern's website should be back up some time this week. If it's not I'll email Rhialto again to see what's going on, but the last I heard he was trying to install a proper firewall that would work the way he wanted. Security isn't his forte, so it's taking awhile longer than it should, but he cannot bring the game back up until he knows it's secure from hackers.

We just heard from Rhialto. He found many more problems with the OS upgrade then he expected and is still working on it. But it's coming along he said.
We will let you know anymore as we hear it.

I am semi-dedicating this blog to the status of Wyvern, and will include updates about it as soon as I get them.
Latest news from Wyvern: I have a quote from Arilou saying: " Here is the latest word from Rhialto on what is going on:

'I've been busily coding away on Wyvern, hoping to get it back online this year. I won't be able to get -all- the things done I wanted done, but I'm nevertheless doing a great deal, and all of it is important. But we need to get it back online soon.'"

Hello there then. This is me' first Blog. I suppose you're wondering why you want to read this eh'? Well, you have no reason whatsoever, Cept' unless you like some randomness. I suppose I will talk about things I do (or don't actually do) maybe some games, new things in the news, ramblings, thing I find interesting, or just about anything else you could think up that someone might want to say to someone..... So if any of this interests you this might be the place for you.
Well, since there's nothing else I can think of right now I'll just give ya some links to some interesting things, post a comment and give me some inspiration of what I could talk about :p

Hmmm.... I hope any of that interested you. Weeeeelll...What next.... how bout' a story!
One day i was on top of a very tall building, looking over the edge. Next thing i know theres this hobo guy up there on the other side, holding a small stick. He says "ye may face daeth upon me lance or sword take yer pick." I proceeded to say "Whadda Fuuuuuuuuu?" Then the hobo promptly started running towards me, i dodged out of the way, he fell off the building and then suddenly appeared back on. He said "You have faced thee tests! You are worthy to see a red rubber ball!" He then descended down the stairs and I, after a few minutes, went down too, and then bought some corn from a nearby KFC.
